VERSE 1:
Being alone with you
Always hoping my love would do
Wanting so much to be
Alone with you
When you look into my eyes
Everything begins to collide
I’m falling in love
Again with you
PRE-CHORUS:
Can’t you see it in my eyes
Oh yes it’s you I need in my life
Let me hold you close and then you’ll see
When you look at me with a smile
Or even when you talk to me for a while
That only makes me want you even more
CHORUS:
Being alone with you
Baby can’t you see I need your love
Being alone with you
Baby can’t you see I want your love
VERSE 2:
Even though we are apart
You will always be in my heart
Wanting so much to be, touched by you
Well if only you felt the same we would be together today
Holding each other
Just you and me
[PRE-CHORUS]

I’ll do anything to win your love
This is one of the first songs I wrote back in 1989 (The year I graduated from Anoka Senior High School). I plan to re-record this song someday soon. I recorded this song on my VistaFire 4-track tape-cassette recorder. Trying to get a better drumset sound, I recorded the bass-drum, snare, and hi-hat separately 1 at a time... rather than setting the 1 microphone I owned out in front of my drumset and recording the drums LIVE as a professional recording studio would do. Music and recording equipment is very expensive, so I did the best I could with what I had back then. The keyboard sounds are from my Roland D50 synthesizer, and the guitar I am using is a Gibson Les Paul Custom (Black/white/gold) running through a Yamaha FX-500 with symphonic and delay. Eddie Van Halen is my favorite guitar player... and I tried sounding like Eddie Van Halen in the guitar solo I wrote for this song. This song is available for sale below (click BUY SONG) or buy cd title 'Music by James Limborg 2007'. Thanks for your support visiting my website and listening.
VERSE 1:
Love, is a beautiful thing.
You gotta be watchin' or you're goin' down.
It's tough, and you know you care.
It's not always fair.
I want you to see,
PRE-CHORUS 1:
We've got to believe... believe in love.
We've got to hold on to the feeling, Hold on.
And if we believe... believe in love,
then everything will be as it should.
CHORUS:
Believe in love
VERSE 2:
You, and me, Together I hope that we'll someday see,
our world, the way it use to be.
There was trust, and we all use to care.
PRE-CHORUS 2:
We've got to believe... believe in love.
We've got to hold on to the feeling, Hold on.
And if we believe... believe in love,
we'll all start to show that we care.
BRIDGE:
If we really want thing's different in this world,
It's not gonna happen hurting one another!
We have to treat each other like we're all family,
and we have to believe... believe in love.
[Steve Anderson's rock guitar solo]
PRE-CHORUS 2:
Believe... Believe in love.
We've got to hold on to the feeling, Hold on.
And if we believe... believe in love,
Slowly everything will change for the good.
[CHORUS 2x's]
Do you believe in love?
Here's a song I wrote with my friend and songwriting partner Steve Laws Anderson (photo bottom-right). This song started out with Steve giving me his guitar chords and arrangement on tape. I used that as a guide to create the drums, keyboards, bass guitar, lyrics, and vocals. I remember before writing the lyrics to this song, I told Steve that I would 'not' write about LOVE. Well, the lyrics ended up being about love... I think because of the feel the music has... I was able to stay away from relationship love lyrics as intended. The lyrics to this song reflect my wanting the world to be a perfect place for everyone. This song is available for sale below (click BUY SONG) or buy cd title 'Music by James Limborg 2006'. Thanks for visiting and listening.

Lift me into the warm blue sky

Take me, into the warm blue sky.

Here's a song I wrote with my friend and songwriting partner Steve Laws Anderson (photo bottom-right). This song started out with Steve giving me his guitar chords and arrangement on tape with lyric sheet. I used that as a guide to create the drums, keyboards, bass guitar, guitar solo, and vocal melodies. This is the 3rd song Steve and I wrote together, and was played on KQ Homegrown (Minneapolis radio 92.5 KQRS).This song is available for sale below (click BUY SONG) or buy cd title 'Music by James Limborg 2006'. [CHORUS 2x's]
[VERSE 3]
[CHORUS 5x's]
I wrote this song for 2 cavalier dogs I was taking care of for my sister Terri Limborg. Their names were Dipity (She's the one barking in this song) and Fatty Matty. I wanted this song to be fun for them with good music and dogs barking... something they can relate to. There was a verse my sister and parents asked me to remove... which I did. The lyrics that were removed said, "Poor Fatty Matty got bloated and died, but before that she had 2 cute puppies... Dipity you've had 2 false pregnancies... Here's a 5 gallon pale of water drink up!". hahahhahaa... Well, That's my humor and honesty and I still have the original recording of this song with those lyrics I removed. In the yard, carolers sing
Christmas is here again
[PRE-CHORUS]
[CHORUS]
[PRE-CHORUS]
[CHORUS]
Ahh/Ohh... Christmas is here again
I originally wrote and recorded this song in 1989. In 2007 I re-recorded this song using my new recording equipment (Both recorded versions are available for sale below). Christmas is my favorite holiday, and I wanted to write a song similar to the old classic Christmas songs like Gene Autry 'Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer' and 'Frosty The Snowman', Burl Ives 'Have A Holly Jolly Christmas', Nat King Cole 'The Christmas Song', etc. I am very happy with my 2007 Christmas song version! In my 2007 recording, I added real orchestra bells and chimes which took me lots of time just finding those sounds to use in this song. I remember back in 1989 writing the lyrics for this song... I asked my parents and friends for help and advice on the lyrics I was writing. This song is available for sale below (click BUY SONG) or buy cds titled 'Music by James Limborg 2006', 'Music by James Limborg 2007'. Thanks for listening.

CHORUS
I can see, You’re lost on a distant highway
It hurts to see, You lost on that distant highway
VERSE 2:
Whatever it is, It couldn’t be that bad
You still have me, To be there when you’re sad

Tere is another song I wrote back in 1989. I recorded this pop song on my VistaFire four-track tape-cassette recorder. I was not able to record all my music ideas for this song because I was limited to 4-tracks of recording... but someday soon I plan to re-record this song so I get it just the way I intended. I've had compliments on the intro guitar solo melody, but really all I did was throw in some 'temporary' guitar notes to fill in the space with the intentions of later replacing those filler notes with a written guitar solo. The intro guitar solo melody grew on me as well... so when I re-record this song, I will keep the intro solo just the way it is. This song is available for sale below (click BUY SONG) or buy cd title 'Music by James Limborg 2006'. Thanks for your support visiting my website and listening.
VERSE 1:
I spend many nights, thinking about you
Hopin' you'll turn my way again
and hoping you'll stay
VERSE 2:

You're everything I want and need
I want to give you so much more
there must be someway
PRE-CHORUS:
It hurts me so bad, that's why...
CHORUS 1:
I just want to give it all to you
Please don't leave me
I don't want to lose you
Just come back to me
VERSE 3:
Those sleepless nights, I can still remember
the thought of being without you,
it hurt me so bad
VERSE 4:
There are so many ways, I would say that I love you
Which one of those ways, will make you come back to me?
[PRE-CHORUS]
CHORUS 2:
I just want to give it all to you
Please don't leave me
I don't want to lose you
Won't you come back to me?

Here is a pop-rock song that I originally recorded on my VistaFire four-track recorder back in 1989. In 1993 I re-recorded this song on a 16-track reel-to-reel 1/2" inch tape machine. Then in 2005 I re-mixed the 1993 version using my new recording equipment and added some more keyboard melodies, automated panning and volume effects, and background drum loops. I wrote this song with my friend and songwriting partner Steve Laws Anderson (photo bottom-right). The process of creating this song started with Steve giving me his rhythm guitar chords and arrangement, and drum machine idea on tape cassette. I used that as a guide to create the drums, synthesizer keyboard parts, lyrics and vocals. Off and on for 2 years I would change the song forming it into what you hear below. I tried to produce this song like Def Leppard music. There are many producing techniques going on in this song... reverse vocals and instruments, panning and volume changes, fade-ins fade-outs, sound effects, EQ sweeps, pitch change effects, etc. It's like a painting that has all existing colors... very detailed, full of entertainment for the ears. MESSAGE:
There's 7 years between us
And you're only 17
But you mean everything to me
VERSE 1:
You say, that you aren't ready
For anyone, so please try to understand
You've lied, and made me cry, to try to scare me away
But it's because of the fun times, we've shared
I'm here to say, that
PRE-CHORUS 1:
I can wait, For you
And I will wait, For you
And I will always be here, For you
Yes I can wait
CHORUS:
I can wait, and I will wait for you
VERSE 2:
You say, that you're like a butterfly
Still in a cacoon, not quite ready to fly
So I say, that I'm like a warm summer breeze
I'm just waiting here, for you to be with me
BE WITH ME 'cause

And I will always be here, For you
And Robin I sing this song, To you
'cause I can wait

I wrote this song with my friend and songwriting partner Steve Laws Anderson (photo bottom-right). The process of creating this song started with Steve giving me his rhythm guitar chords and arrangement, and drum machine idea on tape cassette. I used that as a guide to create the drums, bass guitar, keyboards, guitar solo, lyrics and vocals. Back when Steve and I were making this song... I was in love with my 1st love and wrote the lyrics about her. Steve laughed and said, "We can't have a song that has the word cacoon in it... he laughed... No song ever used the word cacoon!". Well, the only reason I used the word 'cacoon' was because this girl told her mom that she was like a butterfly... still in a cacoon... not quite ready to fly. Meaning she wasn't ready for a relationship as I was. This song is available for sale below (click BUY SONG) or buy cd titled 'Music by James Limborg 2006'.

VERSE 1:
I was walkin' through Central Park
in the dark, next to you
I was just thinkin' about the day
and the way, that I met you
VERSE 2:
It's been a long time, seems like yesterday
we said I do
We had some bad times, mostly good times
Through it all, I've loved you
CHORUS:
I love you, It's true
I... I do
I... Love you
I... I do
[VERSE 1]
[VERSE 2]
[CHORUS]
I... Love you
I... I do
I... Love you

I created this song with my friend, 1st guitar teacher Drew Kabanuk (photo bottom-right). Back around 1996 or so, Drew recorded the drum machine, acoustic guitar, lyrics and vocal parts on his 16-track 1/2" reel-to-reel tape machine. Around 2005 I found his reel-to-reel tape while looking for my music... I liked his song... So I produced it into a professional sounding song. I had to copy and paste his vocals to complete the song, remove most of his acoustic guitar playing due to mistakes/off-tempo playing, I added acoustic guitar and keyboard melodies, cricket sound effect, electric guitar melodies, tamborine, cabasa/shaker sounds, panning and volume changes throughout the music. This song is available for sale below (click BUY SONG) or buy cd titled 'Music by James Limborg 2006'.
VERSE 1:
You, come walkin' my way
I wish I could say, just how I feel
But I, I ask myself
Do I deserve this beauty I see?
PRE-CHORUS:
I want you to know
I need you to know
I want you to know
CHORUS:
Babe you
You got so much
I want so much
I need you so much
VERSE 2:
One night, we were on the beach
Lahaina, Maui, and what did we see?
Stars, from the sky above
they were shinin' down
like I've never seen

Maybe someday you'll feel the same

VERSE 1:
All those nights, when you were home
I always had somethin' better to do
And now your gone, and I'm sittin' here alone
I'm thinkin' that I was a fool
PRE-CHORUS:
I don't do nothin' special for you anymore
I'm glad I had this time
It opened up my eyes
CHORUS:
Who knows if you'd stay
If I never changed
Who knows, someday, you might leave
It won't be because I don't treat you right
I wanted to be with you tonight
VERSE 2:
When you get home, I'll be a changed man
And I'll hope that you'll understand
Why this fool was always caught up in
everything but you

but all that I see now is red, white and green
all that I see now... red, white and green
all that I see now... red, white and green
all that I see now... red, white and green
I started the creation of this song by copying the drums to Paul Simon's song titled 'KODACHROME'. I then made minor changes to the drums, wrote an acoustic guitar part over the top of the drums, added the same piano and horn instruments as in 'KODACHROME' but had to change the pitch of them to match the key the guitar was in, added keyboard bass, and lastly vocals. This was the 2nd fastest song I wrote (1st was Terri's Getting A Lot Bigger). It took me 1 week to complete this song from creation to final recorded mix. When it came time to write the lyrics, I thought if Paul Simon can write about camera film, I can write about tennis. So with my microphone in my hand, I wrote the lyrics 1 line at a time, and recorded the lead vocal as I was writing the lyrics. I never did that before... Most of the time I write the lyrics first, then later record them. This song is available for sale below (click BUY SONG) or buy cds titled 'Music by James Limborg 2006', 'Music by James Limborg 2007'. Thanks for your support visiting my website and listening.
VERSE 1:
Time has come and gone
Now they say it's time I move on
You're my only thought of the future
It lies in my hands
I'll rise or I'll fall
PRE-CHORUS 1:
There's so much I need to tell you
There's so much I need to know
Through him, I'll be with you
'cause that's the only way to go
With you so far away
The hope of being with you
Oh Kristy, If you could only see
what your love would mean to me
CHORUS:
You're gonna be mine someday (I won't give up)
You're gonna be mine some way
You're gonna be mine someday (I won't give up)
You're gonna be mine some way
VERSE 2:
People say I'm crazy
for wanting you so bad
Just try to believe in me
Girl I'll make you understand
PRE-CHORUS 2:
I wake every day with you on my mind
I dream of the day; The day I'm with you
I just want to hold you, Hold you tight
If only I knew, knew what to do
'cause girl you give me hope
and help me see the light
Oh Kristy, If you could only see
what your love would mean to me
[CHORUS]
[James Limborg's rock guitar solo]
PRE-CHORUS 3:
Yes, I know it's crazy
Since we've never met
So now I'm takin' the first step
It's something I know I won't regret
It's your smile that makes it worth it all
It picks me up when I fall
Oh Kristy, If you could only see
what your love would mean to me
[CHORUS 2x's]

T his is the 1st song that Steve (photo bottom-right) and I wrote together. We recorded this at Gark Studios(Producer, Dave Pinski) in 1990. Steve did a great job with the lyrics on this song (Lots of lyrics in this song). Steve had a crush on Kristy McNichol back when he wrote these lyrics. At the time, Kristy lived in Sherman Oaks, so Steve titled this song 'Sherman Oaks'. I think Steve is a better lyric writer than me... I always encourage him to write the lyrics to our songs. Before going into the studio with this song, Steve and I recorded all of our music ideas on my VistaFire 4-track tape recording machine. In the studio, when I was recording the JET sounds in the intro... Steve pressed his finger on my keyboard creating the last JET sound you hear in the intro of this song just before the music comes in... worked out great. Around 2002, Steve and I were contacted by Neal Ardman, vice-president of Equity Broadcasting, about wanting to buy this song outright. Precision Sound used this indie music on their compilation cd. This song is available for sale below (click BUY SONG) or buy cd title 'Music by James Limborg 2006'. Thanks for your support visiting my website and listening.
Indie rock song by: James Limborg and Steve Laws Anderson Lyrics by: Steve Laws Anderson Email jim@jameslimborg.com
VERSE 1:
In a Suped Up FORD doin' 95 (mph)
I hit 4th gear babe just in time
I can't stop now til I cross that line
You see my engines really hot,
and my emotions are flyin'
I'm almost there in record time
Can't stop me babe,
Til I cross that line
VERSE 2:
It's been so long since I told you babe
That you're my girl and I don't mean maybe
She said, "Hey babe, Now I've been thinkin'
about a real fast ride in your hot rod Lincoln."
I reached in my pocket,
put the keys in her hand
She put her arms around me and said,
"You're my man!"
Paul Booth Johnson (photo below-right) started this song by writing and recording the drums, rhythm rock guitar, bass guitar, and guitar solo upstairs at Drew's house in Robinsdale, Minnesota on Drew's 16-track reel-to-reel 1/2" tape. Then Drew (photo bottom-left) eventually went upstairs and wrote the lyrics and recorded his vocals. Then Paul asked me to add a cool guitar solo, which I started, but never finished. Many years later, while I was searching through Drew's 16-track recording reels for some of my music, I found this Hot Rod Lincoln music. I liked it, so I copied all the tracks from the reel into my computer recording equipment and produced the song into what you hear below. I muted out the empty spaces between drums, vocals, guitars, etc. Added EQ, delay, reverb, compression, limiter as needed to each instrument. My brother, John Limborg, said I should add a double bass drum to the song... I asked John where, he showed me, so he left my house and I added that in. I copied my guitar solo and pasted it into the beginning of the song to start out the song with. I added a ride-bell to the end of the song, drum loops, volume and pan effects, and found a Ferrari race car sound effect on the internet and put it in this song as well. I'm guessing Paul started this song around 1994, and I finished it around 2002. Out of all the songs on my website, currently this song has sold the most! This song is available for sale below (click BUY SONG) or buy cd title 'Music by James Limborg 2006'. Thanks for your support listening.

Due to me telling Dave Pinski (The producer) to add more bass to the mix... both Sherman Oaks and Taste The Loneliness had 'too much' bass when listened to 'outside' the recording studio. So we had Sandy, Steve's friend, re-mix this song at LOGIC STUDIOS (Brian Bart, studio owner). This song is available for sale below (click BUY SONG) or buy cd title 'Music by James Limborg 2006'. Indie rock song by: James Limborg and Steve Laws Anderson Lyrics by: Steve Laws Anderson Email jim@jameslimborg.com
VERSE 1:
Terri is getting a lot bigger
Like a big huge plum on a tree
She looks like she’s getting a lot bigger
Like a juicy rotten plum on a tree
CHORUS:
Bigger in the front
Bigger in the back
Just as big as a Scooby snack
Bigger in the front
Bigger in the back
She’s a huge rotten plum on a tree

B ack in 1989 I worked at my sisters dog grooming shop called 'A DOGS BEST FRIEND'. My sister would wash and clip the dogs, and I would dry them. While drying the dogs, I'd sing silly songs... and one of those songs is this one. It was 2pm and I asked my sister, Terri Limborg, if I could go home early to record this song. She said yes. At 6:30pm the song was finished and I had my sister listen to it. She couldn't believe how fast I made it into a song, nor can I... recording music rarely goes fast for me. This was the fastest I've recorded any song (Took 4 hours to record)... 2nd to this is my tennis song 'Red White and Green' which took 1 week of recording and writing the lyrics. VERSE 1:
Like the rain, I keep fallin'
Sure I'll reach the ground
but someday I'll be fallin' again
It's tough, Tough on you
having to lift me off the ground
time and time and again.
PRE-CHORUS:
I feel so weak, when I'm alone
I don't know what I would do without you
You say you won't leave
You just need some space from me
CHORUS:
I... I know that you care
Sometimes I feel alone
I need you by my side
You... You make things so right
Somehow you make me strong
Stronger than I've ever been before
VERSE 2:
Sometimes I'll sit
and see the picture through you eyes
Then it's no surprise, why you keep pulling away
I don't want to be left alone
I want to be with you all of the time
Don't ever stop to wonder if I love you

This is a song I entered in the 2002 Tonos pop music songwriting contest. They supplied this music, and I wrote the lyrics, lyric melodies, guitar solo, and sing this pop song. I wrote the lyrics about how a girl can give a guy confidence and motivation from her beauty and companionship.

VERSE 1:
Well, She was so real
A body I couldn’t believe
Dancin’ at a party on my street
I could of swore she was lookin’ at me
Listen everybody
She’s the girl of my dreams
Who’ll be there when I need someone to hold me
PRE-CHORUS:
Well lets get down and have some fun
Baby cause I know I want to have some fun
CHORUS:
Baby can’t you see, you're killin’ me
The way you keep on dancin’ in front of me
Baby can’t you see? (Whoo yeah)
Baby can’t you see?
VERSE 2:
Well I’m makin’ my move
Just a little bit closer to you
Your 5’8” and baby from what I see
You look a little bit older than me
The way you move that body
It really wouldn’t matter to me
If you were a thousand and three
Come on now baby love me!

Kick it
Baby can’t you see

Baby can’t you see

I was never a person who enjoyed going out to parties or bars, but sometimes I would end up at a party with a friend. Well, I saw this girl that was really cute, some people were dancing, so I wrote the lyrics about this day. I wrote this song back in 1989, and recorded it on my VistaFire 4-track tape-cassette recorder. The music sounds like something you'd hear from the band 'New Kids On The Block'. The instruments I used in this song was my Roland D50 and Alesis HR16 drum machine. Someday soon, I plan to re-record this song using my new recording equipment.
